2 Now while they were at the supper, (the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him,)3 Jesus, though he knew that the Father had subjected everything to him, and that he came from God, and was returning to God;4 arose from supper, and laying aside his mantle, girt himself about with a towel.5 Then he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
