THEN I saw in the right hand of him who was sitting on the throne a book with writing inside and outside and closely sealed with seven seals.
I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book and loose its seals?"
But no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it.
I wept much because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it.
Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered and can open the book and its seven seals."
Then I saw midway between the throne and the four living creatures and the elders a Lamb standing. He seemed as if he had been slain. He had seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
He came and took the book from the right hand of him who was sitting on the throne.
When he took the book the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp and a golden bowl full of incense, which is the prayers of the holy.
Then they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art thou to take the book and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and didst ransom for God by thy blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
and hast made them a kingdom of priests to our God, and they shall be kings on the earth."
Then I looked and I heard the voices of many angels encircling the throne and the voices of the four living creatures and of the elders \'97 the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands \'97
crying aloud, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing."
And every creature that is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all creatures in them, I heard saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power for the ages of the ages."
The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.
