2 During supper, the Devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray him,3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands and that he had come from God and was going to God,4 rose from supper and laid aside his upper garments and took a towel and put it around him.5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the feet of the disciples and to wipe them with the towel he had around him.
