3 He gave them this illustration:4 "What man of you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until he has found it?5 And when he has found it he lays it on his shoulders with joy,6 and when he comes home he calls together his friends and neighbors and says, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost!'7 I tell you there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner whose heart is changed than over ninety-nine righteous men who have no need to change.
