21 And the Lord said to him, Now you{} Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but inside you{} are full from extortion and lack of self-control.

22 You blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup, that its outside may become clean also.

23 Woe to you{} Pharisees! For you{} tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these you{} ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone.

24 Woe to you{} Pharisees! For you{} love the chief seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the marketplaces.

25 Woe to you{}! For you{} are as the tombs which do not appear, and the men who walk over [them] do not know it.

26 And one of the lawyers answering says to him, Teacher, in saying this you reproach us also.

27 And he said, Woe to you{} lawyers also! For you{} bind loads that are heavy and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but you{} yourselves will not move them with one of your{} fingers.

28 Woe to you{}! For you{} build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous,
