Mateus 5

But he said to them, Have you{} not read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him;

how he entered into the house of God, and they ate the showbread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, neither for those who were with him, but only for the priests?

And he said to them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:

so that the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.

And he departed from there, and went into their synagogue:

and look, a man having a withered hand. And they watched him to see if he would heal on the Sabbath day; so that they might accuse him.

And he said to them, Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?

But they held their peace.

Then he says to the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, as the other.

But the Pharisees went out, and took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.
